The robust Rioned suction trailer is designed for emptying flooded cellars, heavily polluted sewers, septic tanks, and wells. With a height of just under 1.95 metres, this double-axle trailer is suitable for parking garages. Its empty weight is approximately 1,450 kg, keeping the total weight of the trailer and its contents below the permitted load of 3,500 kg. This feature means that the trailer does not require an inspection procedure, avoiding associated costs.

Key Features of the R2 Portable Suction Unit

Inside this suction unit, you'll find a 2-cylinder, 20 HP Honda engine powering the robust Jurop PNR 73 vacuum pump. This vacuum pump delivers an impressive suction capacity of 425 m³ per hour (7,200 litres per minute), making it suitable for continuous operation. The pump's discharge mode efficiently empties the tank, while a double float ball and siphon system work together to prevent dirt particles from entering the pump.

The motor and pump housing are designed to protect against dirt and weather influences, ensuring reliable performance in various conditions. Additionally, a muffler on the exhaust minimises noise during operation, enhancing the user experience when using this portable suction machine.

Practical Features of the R2 Suction Unit

The rear cover of this suction unit is equipped with a 3” inlet, a 3” outlet, and three sight glasses for monitoring liquid levels. The tank can be fully opened for easy cleaning and solid removal. With 25 metres of 2.5” hose on the suction reel, this vacuum machine is ready for action.

One side of the trailer features an open storage box that accommodates the two standard 3” hoses, while the opposite side includes a lockable storage box for securely stowing tools.

The RioTrailer R2 shares the same technical features as the RioTrailer R1 and can be supplied with or without a standard trailer for fixed deployment or mobile use. If you prefer, it can also be mounted on your own approved trailer. If a trailer is not needed, this portable suction unit can be mounted on the back of a chassis, such as an Iveco Daily or a Ford Ranger. The frame beneath the tank provides additional space for suction hoses, and the reel allows for the display of an advertising message.

Safety Features of the Suction Trailer

A variety of safety features have been integrated into this suction unit. The tank includes a siphon and a double float ball to prevent dirt particles from entering the high-pressure pump. Additionally, a protective cover shields the motor and pump from dirt and adverse weather conditions, ensuring optimal performance.

2,100-litre tank

The thermal recessed tank boasts a net volume of 2,100 litres, providing ample capacity for most jobs. Accessing the tank is convenient, thanks to the fully opening rear lid, which facilitates easy cleaning and maintenance.

Storage Solutions

The suction trailer has been designed with versatile storage options. An open storage box located on one side of the trailer accommodates the two standard 3” hoses. On the opposite side, a lockable toolbox provides secure storage for ancillary equipment and additional tools. Furthermore, there is extra space for suction hoses located beneath the frame, ensuring everything needed is well-organised and accessible.
