Rioned at IFAT 2022

IFAT is the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. This international exhibition will be held from May 30 to June 3. Rioned will be present at Hall C4, Booth 417/516.

Alongside their European counterparts, Mark Cox and Jon Woods from the sales teams at Rioned and Andy Guest Jetters will be attending the event in Munich and are looking forward to meeting visitors from the UK.

IFAT also marks one of the first opportunities to present the class-leading eCityJet machine. In an age of rocketing fuel prices, the all-electric van-pack jetter has begun to gain traction across the industry, with the machine now in operation across cities in the UK and Continental Europe. Powered by six 5kWh lithium-ion batteries, the jetter offers all the features and performance of the flagship diesel CityJet, whilst producing zero emissions. Particularly suited to operating in the growing number of urban Low-Emission Zones, the eCityJet has been heralded as the future of the jetting industry.

Recent upgrades to Rioned’s UrbanJet van-pack and FlexCom jet vac unit will also be unveiled at IFAT. The new UrbanJet Premium now includes a hydraulic pivoting reel, similar to the CityJet, that allows better access to pipe inlets. Powered by a high-performance industrial, water-cooled diesel or petrol engine, the lightweight jetting unit is ideal for tackling the toughest blockages and can be installed in most compact commercial vehicles.

The latest iteration of Rioned’s compact and versatile FlexCom jetvac tanker offers a range of tank sizes and partitions depending on the choice of 7.5, 10 or 12-tonne chassis base vehicle. Designed for use in built-up areas and in locations where larger vehicles struggle to gain access, these types of compact jetting and suction machines are an increasingly common sight on busy city streets.

At the other end of the scale, Rioned recently launched a cordless Handmatic spring-feed cable machine for cleaning domestic drains up to 75mm. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the new unit offers all the flexibility of the firm’s smallest mechanical cleaner without the need to plugin.

Fellow exhibitor KaRo will also showcase its new emission-compliant HD160 EVO PRO PTO van-pack for sale to the German market. The jetter is powered by PTO (Power-take-off) from the engine of a 3.5t Mercedes Sprinter, with two pump options delivering 2300 psi @22 gpm (160 bar @ 85 l/min) or 2100 psi @26 gpm (150 bar 100 l/min).
