MultiJet Trailer Jetter is the Optimal Fit for Wayne for Drains
As an experienced drain cleaning specialist, Wayne Martin of Wayne For Drains Ltd has been aware of Rioned products for several years but only recently took possession of his first machine. In choosing new jetting equipment for the firm’s drain cleaning and survey services, Wayne says efficiency was at the heart of the decision-making process. Ultimately, there was only one clear winner - the Rioned MultiJet trailer jetter.
“I’ve always used trailer jetters but the performance of the MultiJet far outweighs anything comparable on the market,” Wayne explains. “The service from Rioned was excellent, I can’t fault it.”
Choosing the MultiJet over Competitors?
The MultiJet is Rioned’s most robust and powerful trailer jetter featuring a 44HP Kubota diesel common rail turbo engine and speck triplex pump, producing a jetting performance of 3600psi @ 13gpm as standard.
With two 400-litre water tanks on board and a robust yet sleek trailer-mounted unit, it has a larger capacity than its rivals and is designed for single-operator use - just some of the reasons why Wayne chose the MultiJet above competitor machines.
“There’s a lot to like about it. The tank size, the water pressure it offers, and the design,” he says. “With more water-carrying capacity than standard units, I can be out in the field longer without having to refill, so I get longer jetting times. That also means the possibility of handling multiple jobs on a single fill, depending on the jobs.”
For a small yet busy operation, that can be a game changer.
The single-user operation design, utilising a 7-channel radio remote and Rioned’s patented eControl+ machine management system, was also a major factor in choosing a MultiJet. It allows the firm to add more to the daily schedule whilst maintaining the health and safety of operatives and the public.
“It’s very operator-friendly, and the single-user operation is a real bonus,” he explains, “It's safer because you're able to cut the machine off instantly. You're not having to run back 50 meters to turn it off if something happens.”
The quality of the design also brings other benefits, not least in efficient running costs: “It's a good-looking unit - very sleek, professional, and it looks the part,” Wayne explains. “It's also quite lightweight for its size and is aerodynamic when towing, so we’re saving around 50% on fuel costs compared to the old trailer jetters we were using. We’re getting 30 miles to the gallon with the MultiJet in tow, which is great.”
Wayne was not only impressed by the quality of the equipment but also appreciated the straightforward and helpful experience of working with the Rioned sales and technical team.
“Purchasing was very easy. The sales manager Klaire Jones was very professional and the quote came back quickly. We arranged a collection time and when I arrived it was there waiting for me outside and ready to go,” he explains.
“The people were welcoming and the technicians carefully ran through everything with me before I left. We had some existing jet nozzles that they reconfigured to work with the MultiJet to get the right pressure and flow rate for my nozzles while I was there. They didn’t charge extra and that saved me a lot.”
“The MultiJet has seen 200 hours of use now so I am heading back to Rioned for its first service,” he continues. “It's an excellent unit, I’ve had no issues with it at all and the standard of customer service is fantastic. I will definitely make Rioned my first call when I need drainage equipment in the future.”
Combining performance with efficient design and cost-saving features, the Rioned MultiJet. offers drainage companies a robust single-operator solution in a fuel-efficient trailer-mounted package.
